NOVA SCOTIA HOME OWNERS & COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL/INSTITUTIONAL
NOVA SCOTIA REBATES
EXISTING HOMES $1250 for residential, hot water solar and 15% for commercial. (See Home Audit Rebates below)
Efficiency NS Rebate: The program applies to the cost of the approved panel(s), the labour to install and the tax. Details and application form for the program can be found by clicking on the efficiency NS logo. Note that the rebate can only be claimed after the install. CreativeSolar will be pleased to assist with your rebate application. This rebate is available regardless of your status with the energy audit or how you presently heat your hot water for domestic use.
Solar Rebate For Electric Hot Water Offset: For existing homes, the solar system must be displacing the demands of an electric hot water heater. Only homes within the Energuide audit qualify. The electric water heater must be in place prior to the first visit from the auditor. For info, see the Efficiency NS web site.
EcoEnergy Program: Launched as of July 13, 2011 this program can provide $1250 for a residential, domestic hot water install and up to $12,500 for a multi-unit. A home energy audit is required but that's a good thing in that, if new to the program, you'll learn a lot about what may be possible in your home to save more $$$. Details of the program can be found here. Contact Creative Solar for more details.
Solar Hot Air All configurations of our Solarsheat, including horizontal mounting, qualify for the solar air heating rebate of $500.

Solarsheat hot air panels integrated into new home construction. These panels will provide heat to the home, even before the primary heating system is installed and turned on.
SOLAR SIDE: Did you know that solar energy is dependent upon nuclear power? Solar energy's nuclear power plant, though, is 93 million miles away.
